Some Reasons of Why A Person Hasn't Received the Holy Spirit

(1)What is heard is not the truth. What is received is the doctrine invented by man, but not the true gospel. (Ephesians 1:13)

(2)Received the wrong water baptism, so that sins haven’t been forgiven.

There is only one kind of water baptism for forgiving sins in the Bible. If the water baptism is conducted in a wrong way, it is impossible to receive the Holy Spirit, and this person needs to be baptized again in the correct way. (Acts 19:1-7)

(3)This person hasn’t repented in the heart. Like Judas, who followed Jesus for three and a half years, but Judas did not believe in Jesus in his heart and didn’t repent, so he was finally per-ished and destroyed.

(4)No perseverance, but half-hearted. When praying for the Holy Spirit, open eyes to look around without concentrated in the mind and heart. We shall value the Holy Spirit instead of value the things in the world.

The Holy Spirit is very precious to us. Jesus has promised to give us the Holy Spirit. Each of us should seek to be baptized with the Holy Spirit so that the Holy Spirit can live in our hearts and we truly born-again. We shall value the Holy Spirit as the treasure, as a precious pearl. （Matthew 13:44-46）
