Joy In The Suffering

In the holy name of Lord Jesus, share the testament:

I seldom went back to China because I studied in New Zealand. But my father had cancer so God sent me home. InitiaIly, I tried to comfort them with god's word on the phone. Since my parents did not believe in god, I could not hear the feeling of peace when I contacted them, and my heart began to feel heavy. Before I left New Zealand, I asked my brothers and sisters in the church to pray for my father. On November 17, 18, I returned home.

When I arrived home, I felt good to see my father in good health. My mother told me that when they went to the hospital, the doctors were always scaring them. They were frightened not by disease but doctor words. Actually my mother was calm and clear-headed. She has read many books about cancer and knew True Jesus Church. Therefore, she does not like the radical therapy of doctors, and feels it hurts health. But my father didn't read any of the books and didn't believe in God, he was often at odds with my mother regarding the treatment. Dad was easily frightened, believed in science, and listened to the doctor. On the 20th, we went to Shanghai to prepare for the operation. Before that, our whole family gathered together and prayed to god. May god show mercy and lead us. As soon as I arrived in Shanghai, I contacted the True Jesus Church. I also knew the address of Shanghai true church and then took my parents to the Sabbath party. In the first week in Shanghai, my father went to the hospital for examination, so we were very happy to go shopping. Thank God maybe we were too nervous before so God let us relax. The results of the examination were not yet available, but the doctor suddenly informed my father that he would have an operation tomorrow. Parents become very panicked, no peace, also do not remember to pray to god. In the evening mother was cooking dinner. At seven o 'clock, I had to go to the hospital to talk with the doctor. The time was short, and my mother had a headache again. Seeing her vexation, I persuaded her to pray, but she would not listen. So I knelt beside her and prayed. I thanked God for turning her around. When I got up, her head didn't hurt much and the food was well prepared. My mother and I were delighted.

I was worried that my father would still be talking to the doctor since a sister was visiting us at seven PM. Thanks to God for letting the doctor operate at seven AM tomorrow and having no time to talk with my father, he was able to make time for the visitation. My father was persuaded by the words and manners of young sisters. He thought they were more mature than the same age who did not believe in God. Everyone was peaceful that night.

Thank God. The next morning, we came to sign, but suddenly the nurse came to inform us that the operation was not needed and later we learned that the cancer had metastasized so the operation was of little significance. My mother and I were very happy in our hearts, because some doctors would try to persuade patients to have surgery or chemotherapy in order to make money, but God kept my father from hurting even a hair, and let him not do unnecessary treatment.

On the third day we received a scan report, only two days apart from last report, showing that the largest tumor cross-section had shrunk by an amazing 1.4 cm in one direction and not in the other. My mother and I were surprised and praised God, but my father and the doctor could not understand how it could happen. When my father was released from the hospital, I preached to him and encouraged him that he was indeed happier than he had looked before. This time when we went back home, we got together every day to pray. Although the mother is still true-seeker, her prayer was very urgent, every time sweating. My father does not believe, but not disgusted and he was willing to kneel down, also willing to go to the church. God also let us experience great joy in great suffering, which is hard for those who do not believe in god to do. I am also thankful for the intercession and visitation of the two true churches. Although God did not heal my father completely, I knew he wanted my parents to continue to know him, to get together and worship the true God, to rely on him in everything, and to be baptized by the true church to take away their SINS. There is still a long way to go before God. May God lead us with His grace. Hallelujah.
